STORY
The idea for this bass was born when I was sitting with GRATEFUL DEAD bass player Phil Lesh on the patio of his home, north of San Francisco. He placed a beautiful sculpture of a red dragon on the table and asked me to create a bass guitar inspired by this sculpture.
This instrument features a unique innovation in the world of electric bass guitars: a 5-band parametric EQ system—something never before seen on any electric guitar or bass.
